If you are planning on slamming the car, don't! It looks perfect without the additional drop. Plus, it won't ruin the handling.

Nice car, I like what you did with it. It's different then I usually see them. To be honest, I like its current ride height. Do you race it?

Thanks man! Its currently got the 4-banger in it but I ran an autocross or two this year and was running with more powerful cars because it wouldn't push or break loose. Thing hugs the corners like a go-kart

Yeah I know it will ruin my handling, but until I get a v8 under the hood I'm just worried about looking cool. It's already slow... might as well be low while I'm at it.

Very fun and kudos for hitting up the autox. Four-banger or not, a fun car is a fun car! Plus it looks well taken care of! I can't wait until I can pour some of that passion into a car myself.

Until then, my DD will have to do.

Don't do it Harris. You'll ruin the ride and handling. Spend that money on the drivetrain.

It was for sure the most fun thing I've ever done in a car! And it has been well taken care of since I've had it, but this is what I started with for $700

Kinja'd!!!

(that headlight is taped in and the driver rear window was all ducttape... and don't get me started on the interior condition)

Projects are always fun though and watching it transform is the best part!

I don't think I could ever actually go this low, but another inch and leveling the front with the back wouldn't hurt it.

Looks great, I love fox body's! I think my ford tempo had the same engine!

The 2.3? Probably so!

Hang on, are you turbo charged? I heard some fox body's had turbo's in their 4 bangers. The ford tempo definitley did not have a turbo on its 2.3L 4 cyl.

Nahh mine is n/a since it's a '93. The last year of the turbo was '86 with the death of the SVO unfortunately.

You appear to have done a great job! Yeah one of these days I'll have to get out to an autox

Thanks! The best part about auto-x is that you can bring whatever you want to drive man! There are different classes so anyone can become competitive and have a blast.

Instead of doing a v8 swap, why not find a ranger with the duratec 2.3L and a manual trans. Drop some weight off the car, it makes about 160hp stock. Add a small turbocharger, and look towards 250-300hp, parts for the duratec 23 are cheap, even cosworth intakes are available. For 3k or so in parts you could have a 400hp 2.3L duratec running on e85. Svo reborn call it and go hunting. FYI the duratec 23 fully dressed minus oil is around 230lb or so. About 2/3 the weight of the pinto 2.3

Hmmm... that would definitely be different! I might look into it.
